MEET BISHOP TYRONE BUTLER

Bishop Tyrone L Butler is married to Racquel Ingram-Butler since July 2004 (17 years), father of one (1) son, Eric, and grandfather of two (2) Eric Jr. and Logan 

Ecclesiastical Experience Overview

Senior Pastor Salvation and Restoration Christian Church (2009 – Present)

  • General supervision and oversight of congregation and all official activities of the Church
  • Perform sacerdotal duties including conducting Worship, biblical teaching and instruction, performing liturgical rites for members and their families including marriage, Christening of children, and funeral rites.
  • Administrative duties include oversight of the Trustee Board, general supervision of all Financial business, general supervision of all programs including the Matthew 25 Community Impact initiative, touching the lives of over 200 families each year with Feeding programs and events, and the annual Toy Giveaway for the Holidays.

Bishop & Jurisdictional (Diocesan) Prelate  New York Southeast Diocese (2013 – present) 

  • Diocesan Bishop for the New York Southeast Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. The Church of God in Christ is the 5th largest Protestant Christian denomination in the U.S. (according to the National Council of Churches study) and the largest of the Pentecostal faith tradition

  • Oversight and supervision of local congregations and pastors geographically located from Roosevelt, Nassau County to Middletown, Orange County, New York.

  •  Authority to appoint and remove Pastors of local congregations.  General supervision of Annual Conferences (three per year), the appointment of all Diocesan staff, and oversight of all fiscal operations.  Jointly with other Bishops in the area, serve as the official representative of the Church of God in Christ denomination in all things including interaction with Civic officials and all public events.

    Presiding Bishop’s Liaison Board of Bishops, Church of God in Christ, Inc. (2021 – present) 

    • Serves at the discretion of the Presiding Bishop to communicate his vision, goals, and plans to the Board of Bishops as directed and also to share with the Presiding Bishop critical insight as to the activities, goals, and agenda of the Board of Bishops of the Church of God in Christ 

    Election Commissioner/Chair Board of Bishops, Church of God in Christ, Inc.  (2020 – present) 

    • Chaired all meetings of the Election Committee and meetings of Candidate Preparation in the 2020 – 2021 Quadrennial Election

    • Oversaw the general administration and logistics of the 2020 – 2021 Quadrennial Election of the BOB

    • Reviewed, tested, and implemented the first Virtual Electronic platform utilized by the BOB in an election

    • Developed, with the Election Committee, the Rules of Election for the recent Quadrennial

    • Coordinated with the BOB Screening Committee in the Candidate Application process 

    Assistant to the Secretary Board of Bishops, Church of God in Christ, Inc. (2016 – present) 

    • Manage on-site Logistics for Board of Bishops Meetings at Conventions including order of Food & Beverage as well as securing room set-ups and Microphone

    • Currently responsible for Board of Bishops Marketing, including maintaining Social Media sites and traffic 

    Chief of Administration National Security Task Force Church of God in Christ, Inc. (2013 – present)

    • Assist Commissioner of NSTF with the supervision of all Administrative functions of NSTF including managing Personnel/HR process as well as Fiscal Affairs 

    Vice-Chairman International AIM Convention, Church of God in Christ, Inc. (2014 – 2021) 

    • Carry out the vision of the Chairman of the AIM Convention by directing and coordinating all components of the AIM Convention regarding requests for proposals (RFPs), contract reviews, and other logistics requirements

    • Assess needs and determination of space suitability for different groups involved; creating a systematic flow in space assignment

    • Liaison with Convention Center to ensure the harmonious relationship between the AIM Convention and Convention Center Staff

    • Provide supervision of all Logistics and Operations staff

    • Overseeing time management of move-in and move-out of all groups from start to end of events.

    • Available to operations personnel, ancillary groups (Presiding Bishop, the General Board, Board of Trustees, the Adjutancy, etc.), and all convention center staff to handle all logistical challenges.

    • Set up the show office and serve as the direct line of communication to the general public and delegates of the AIM Convention. Handling all day-to-day operations in the building during the length of the show

    • Work with the LOD in reviewing RFPs for Audio/Visual & Back Line (A/V & BL)

    • Supervision of various critical team managers and components including Production Manager, Vendor/Exhibits Manager

    • Liaison with Security Team and Usher Board to ensure smooth operations of these areas during the Convention.

    Executive Secretary International AIM Convention, Church of God in Christ, Inc. (2013 – 2014)

    • Assist the Chairman and Executive team in carrying out the administrative functions of their respective offices, by providing administrative support and supervision in areas as so designated by the Chairman
    • Provide communication between AIM Chairman and Department Leaders and/or between AIM Chairman and AIM staff, regarding any/all initiatives, directives, or information as so directed by the Chairman
    • Record and publish minutes for all meetings, conference calls, or other designated settings. Assist Chairman with establishing and communicating the Agenda for any meetings
    • Set up and maintain Telephone Conference lines to provide service to the Chairman, Executive Team, and any part of the Planning Commission as necessary
    • Organize and maintain a Roster/Database of all AIM staff and workers, including a Master Roster for Departments that fall under AIM
    • Create and maintain any Templates as necessary to support the Chairman and the functions of the Secretary including Memorandum, Sample Letters, etc.
    • Compile and edit the comprehensive AIM Planning Reference Manual
    • Provide supervision and oversight for any special projects at the request or direction of the Chairman

      Corporate/Professional Experience Overview

      (Ret. 2014 for full attention ministry)

      • 20+ years of various and advancing roles in the accounting and finance industry with increasing responsibilities.
      • Served for more than 3 years as a Tax Analyst  for the Associated Press and more than 6 years as a Senior Financial Analyst for the Mattel Corporation, HIT Entertainment Division, in the licensing sales revenue unit (supervising 2 associated analysts).
      • Responsible for a $30 million dollar budget. Served as Lead Analyst on the Annual Budget, conduct quarterly forecasting, cash flow forecasting, ad hoc analysis, advising senior leaders including the director and vice president, and the sales team on financial modeling and updating the P&L statement (statement of income and expense).

      Entrepreneurial Overview

      • Registered Agent for BE 170-09 107th LLC, based in Queens, NY. 2015 – Present. Duties include general oversight of properties, execution of Tenant Leases, execution and filing of documents with the Department of Buildings, supervision of maintenance and repairs, drafting reports to the Property Owner/President including financial summaries and summaries of operations. (7 Years)
      • Vice President of the Board of Directors, Pelham Owners Corp. (2 Years)
      • Events/Conference Planner (2014 – Present): Member of the Religious Conference Managers Association (RCMA).
      • Responsibilities include general supervision of the Planning Process for Regional and National conferences of various organizations, including negotiating contracts (convention venues and hotel properties), negotiating union agreements, hiring and review of suppliers including decorators, production companies, and other 3rd party service contractors.
